I think the made for commander products introduced more fun stuff than cancer, so I'm in favor of saying better. It gave us some neat cycles and great commanders like Titania and Mairsil. However, I despise some of the obvious EDH-bait designs they've introduced and a lot of the gimmick mechanics they've added through them are terrible, like planeswalker commanders, Experience counters, and partner.

I generally dislike anything that references the command zone as well, but I won't get my dislike of something get in the way of someone else's fun. More importantly though, commander products have brought more people into the format and given it life, for better or worse.
