Antique Fairbanks Dormant Scale, Top Only, for Decor or Steampunk. It has been repainted. It is on a nice decorative wood platform, which measures 27 1/4 inches long by 81/4 inches deep by 3 1/2 inches high. The scale stands 12 1/2 inches high, by 21 1/2 inches long. There are 3 scale weights included. Each weighs one pound.
The weights are cast iron, and read, 'Patented Oct. A dormant scale was for industrial use. It would be mounted on a sturdy base. One rod would go down to the platform below which held the weighted item.
